MEET JUDGE LASSITER

Updated: Jan 31

"...to be of service..."

Judge Peter A. Lassiter’s journey is one of dedication to both his family and his community. A proud graduate of MIZZOU LAW in 2005, Peter’s career has been shaped by a commitment to service and justice. He married his wife, Julie, in 2007, and together they built a beautiful family, now blessed with eight children- seven on earth & one in heaven. Their deep family values are the foundation of Peter's life, both personally and professionally.

Peter's public service began in 2005 and led to over nine years as an Assistant Prosecutor in Lincoln and Franklin Counties. In 2013, he founded St. Thomas Legal, LLC, a law firm he ran alongside Julie, who helped manage both the office and their growing family. In addition to his legal career, Peter's commitment to serving his country led him to become a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the Missouri Army National Guard, where he continues to serve today.

With almost 20 years in the practice of law, by the God's Grace, Peter was appointed to the bench by Governor Mike Parson in October 2024, where he now upholds justice and protects the rights of Missourians. His life has shifted significantly since taking office, but his unwavering dedication to serving others has only grown stronger.

Peter’s family is deeply rooted in community service, prayer and work, reflecting the values he tries (imperfectly) to instill in them by example.

His leadership extends beyond the courtroom, as he continues to support veterans, families, and those in need through positions on Boards and various community activities, striving to make Missouri a better place for all.
