Help the Campaign: Host an Event

Updated: Jan 25

There has been a few lovely people who have offered to help our campaign and we want to offer our supports different ways to help so that they can find the way that suits them the best. It may be working the polls as apart of our team come August 2026 when the Primary is in full swing, but it may be something super special like bringing a group of your trusted people together and making an introduction over coffee, out at dinner or in a HUGE way like Hosting an event. First question... what does that mean? Second question... what will it cost?

Both things can be entirely up to you. If you want it to cost you nothing, then help connect the Campaign with a business who would like to connect with us, advertise his or her business too. $250 buys quite a few appetizers. Event at the park with families, you just ask everyone bring food for their family and you just make sure a sweet treat freezes all the way through - give out popsicles.

IDEAS:

Food & Drink Focused:

  • Potluck Dinner with a Twist: Guests bring a dish and offer a donation.

  • Coffee Morning/Afternoon Tea: Offer tea, coffee, and pastries.

  • Themed Cocktail Party: Charge an entrance fee and have signature drinks.

Creative & Fun:

  • Trivia Night: Charge an entry fee per team and have prizes for the winners.

  • Game Night: Board games, card games, or video game tournaments with an entry fee.

  • Silent Auction: Collect donated items and have attendees bid silently.

  • Raffle: Sell raffle tickets for a chance to win a prize.

Active & Outdoorsy:

  • Walk/Run/Bike-a-thon: Participants get sponsored for each mile they complete.

  • Yard Sale: Collect gently used items from friends and family to sell.

Important Considerations:

  • Choose something your friend enjoys: This will make the planning process more fun!

  • Set a clear goal: How much money do you hope to raise?

  • Spread the word: Use social media, email, and word-of-mouth to invite people.

  • Keep it simple: Don't overcomplicate things.

  • Have fun! Fundraising should be enjoyable for everyone involved.
